A proud South San Franciscan since birth, Catherine Abalos grew up going to the Library at Orange. Since 2019 she has served as a Real Estate agent to clients in San Francisco and the peninsula. She has 15 years of client service experience, through sales and marketing at a lifestyle magazine in Los Angeles, and overseeing marketing and operations for a fitness studio in San Francisco. Catherine received her B.A. in English and Communication Studies from Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles, and her Master of Fine Arts in Writing from the University of San Francisco. In addition to joining the Library Board in February 2024, she serves as her class representative in the alumni association of Saint Ignatius College Preparatory and as alumni advisor to her sorority Kappa Alpha Theta. She's a longtime member of the book club and big fan of the staff at the Library.
